About The Director

    Welcome to my blog! My name is Riley Galasso. This site was created as part of my AICE Media Studies course and reflects my growing interest in how media shapes the way people think, feel, and understand the world. Media is more than entertainment to me; it is powerful form of communication that uses creative choices to send messages and influence audiences.

    I am 16 years old, as an athlete, I've always been used to expressing myself through movement, discipline, and competition. I never expected a class like AICE Media Studies to reveal a completely different side of me. What started as an academic requirement quickly became a creative outlet, one that allowed me to explore storytelling, visual expression, and critical thinking in ways I didn't know I was capable of.

    AICE Media Studies has shown me that creativity doesn't only exist on the field. Through analyzing films, media texts, and production techniques, I've learned how meaning is constructed through camera angles, editing, sound, and narrative choices. The genre I have decided to research and dive into is the romance field, growing up I have come to learn that I have a surprising amount of intelligence and wisdom in emotions. Although I don't also have my things together and I can be a mess; I believe that I have a strong sense of knowledge in emotional appeal. That is why I have chosen to peruse that genre when creating my movie.
