Narration Development

 Narrative Structure

As production moves into the final phase, I have officially locked the narrative structure of my short film. The story begins with a breakup over text, establishing emotional distance immediately. From there, the film follows a parallel structure, contrasting how each character processes the aftermath differently.

The male character continues moving through public spaces, distracted and conflicted, while the female character isolates herself in her bedroom. This contrast allows the audience to understand both perspectives without excessive dialogue.

The turning point occurs when he revisits a shared memory at the ice cream shop. A motivated flashback shifts the tone before returning to the present, where he questions his decision. The climax is built through suspense, ending with his arrival at her door in the rain.

The film will conclude on eye contact rather than dialogue, maintaining ambiguity and emotional tension.
