Editing Phase 1

 Editing Phase One

We have now entered the production stage, and I have started the first phase of editing using Adobe Premiere Pro. At this point, I only have the footage for the girl’s scenes, so I began by organizing all of her clips in chronological order on the timeline. This allowed me to build a clear foundation for how the story will flow.

Between these clips, I left intentional gaps where I plan to insert the boy’s scenes later on. This will help me develop a strong crosscutting effect, switching between both perspectives to build emotion and show how their stories connect. As I continue editing, I will focus on making these transitions smooth and meaningful so the audience can clearly follow both sides of the relationship. So far, this phase has helped me visualize the structure of the film and prepare for the next steps in completing the full sequence.

Majority of my shots for my girl actor are mostly dollying in's so we can get a clear understanding what she's doing and feeling when there's no verbal script for her. While for my guy, I'm going to focus on my mid-length and close-ups.
